MISSION

Treehouse Impact Group is building a continuum of community-focused housing and services within a holistic healing ecosystem. Our mission is anchored in our belief that dignified shelter is a fundamental human right, and that human issues are best solved through community.

GOAL & VISION

Treehouse Impact Group (TIG) works to achieve equitable housing security and opportunities for community members to thrive in Los Angeles. To achieve this goal, we prioritize solutions for families, transition age youth, those who have historically been marginalized by divisive policies, and other vulnerable populations facing homelessness. We imagine a future where all people belong to a beloved community rooted in mutual regard and care.

BACKGROUND

TIG is a nonprofit organization stemming from Treehouse, a community of case-study buildings across Los Angeles dedicated to creating spaces that empower residents to live, work, create and interact together, and bring all the offerings of an entire community under one roof. TIG is a separate 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that operates independently from Treehouse Communities.

TIG recognizes that a networked nonprofit approach to building and sustaining dignified shelter using the same ethos of the Treehouse model will allow community members to thrive in Los Angeles. Butterfly’s Haven, a transitional housing program for unhoused women and children to develop long-term self-sufficiency formerly operating as an independent 501(c)3 organization, is now a program area within TIG.
